OUR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES COME FIRST
Children’s Wellness Clinic Family Enhancement was posted at the Peguis Multiplex to take part in the 1st Annual Children’s Wellness Clinic.
FE met with many community members and shared information on the services offered through the Family Enhancement program. During the 2 days, FE distributed Wonder Show tickets to families who visited the booth. Community members also entered their names for the daily door prize draws- 15 prizes were presented each day. All who visited our booth left with lots of information regarding the Family Enhancement Services.
We look forward to attending the Wellness Clinic in 2023. “Think positively; Exercise daily; Eat Healthy; Work Hard; Stay strong; Worry less; Dance more; Love often.”
CALL OUT FOR PEGUIS PIPE CARRIERS Event: ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING Location: Lot 0 and 1 Old Stone Church Rd., St.Clement’s, MB Closing Date: June 30, 2026 Peguis Child and Family Services (the “Agency”) is currently looking for Peguis Pipe Carriers in the Selkirk, Winnipeg and Peguis areas to assist with a land blessing during the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026. Pipe Carriers play an important role in the Agency operations, especially with the new locations in Selkirk and St.Clement’s, MB, Peguis traditional territory. EVENT DETAILS Annual General Meeting Date: July 4, 2026 Location: Lot 0 and 1 Old Stone Church Rd., St.Clement’s, MB Time: 11:00am – 3:30pm As well as the Annual General Meeting, the Agency is in need of Peguis Pipe Carriers to help with the Agency future events and gatherings. If you are unavailable for the AGM date, please still submit your information for future events and gatherings. Elders Gathering 2026 On June 10 & 11, 2026, Peguis Child and Family Services hosted approximately 400 Peguis Elders at this year’s annual Elders Gathering held at Maamawibiway, Our Gathering Place. “ Over the two-day gathering this really super-appreciative event where our Elders, our knowledge keepers, were allowed to gather and meet in a safe space. The agency staff and community at large are in a better place as a result ,” stated Earl Stevenson, In-House Legal Counsel. Presentations were provided by the Agency’s services and programs throughout the two days. Shawn Mousseau got the Elders out of their seats and dancing, Wednesday afternoon, with live fiddling. Band of BrotherZ ended day 1 of the gathering with an evening of live music. We want to thank and acknowledge the Elders for participating and providing your feedback.
