Women's Gathering 2026

July 15, 2026
Annual Women’s Gathering 2026 On July 10 and 11, 2026, the Agency’s Annual Women's Gathering brought 651 women together across two days focused on culture, entertainment, self-care, and of course lots of laughter. The gathering started with a traditional opening drum song and prayer, followed by welcoming remarks by the Board of Directors and Executive Director Clemene Hornbrook. Members were inspired by a presentation from Chickadee Richard, before enjoying songs by Fawn and Tia Wood whose performance caused Members to break out into a round dance. Throughout the day Members took part in traditional games, bingo, vendors, hair and nail technicians, and even had the chance to get a tattoo by Jenna Mallet. The evening concluded with a musical performance by Teri-Ann Strongarm followed by a high energy concert from Truly Tina, a Tina Turner impersonator. Day two of the gathering began with a presentation by Tania Ross, who shared her difficult life journey and road to healing. The Gathering continued with Peguis’ very own Allysa Sutherland, the owner of Ally's Ribbons, who held a fashion show with local models to showcase her Japan collection. Community speakers and Tonia-Jo Hall presented to the crowd to end the afternoon followed by a supper. Thank you to all the special guests, entertainers, vendors and Members for attending another amazing Women’s Gathering.
